PDF Poche: privacy policy

In short

• Your documents are processed only on your phone. They are never sent over the Internet, to us or to anyone else.
• We have no server and no user accounts: we receive no data about you.
• The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, which collects some technical data to serve them (details below).
• Purchases (7-day pass, monthly Premium, annual Premium) are handled by Google Play.

1. Your documents and content

The files you open, scan, convert or create with PDF Poche (PDFs, photos, signatures, CVs, texts) are read and processed on your phone, including text recognition and conversion to Word. None of this content is sent over the Internet.

The following are stored in the app's private storage, on your phone: the files you produce, the history of your actions, your saved signatures, your CV draft and its photo, and your preferences. This data is not backed up to the cloud: it is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data. You can also delete it at any time from within the app.

2. Ads (free version)

The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve them, measure their performance and fight fraud, Google's AdMob SDK may collect:

• the device's advertising ID and other technical identifiers;
• the IP address, which may be used to estimate an approximate location (city or country);
• information about the device and the app, and interactions with ads (views, clicks);
• diagnostic data (crashes, performance).

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us: we have no access to it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, your consent is requested at first launch; you can change it at any time in the app (Settings > My Premium > Ad choices). You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.

With an active 7-day pass or Premium subscription, no ads are shown.

3. Purchases

The 7-day pass, the monthly Premium subscription and the annual Premium subscription are sold and processed by Google Play. We receive neither your payment details nor your email address. The app only stores, on your phone, the status of your access (active or not). Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions).

4. Text recognition (Google ML Kit)

Text recognition and the document scanner use Google ML Kit, which runs on the phone: your images are not sent. Google Play services may collect anonymous technical statistics about the use of these features (for example how long they take to run), without the content of your documents.

5. Permissions requested

• Internet and network state: loading ads and Google Play purchases. Never used for your documents.
• Advertising ID: ads in the free version.
• Google Play billing: in-app purchases.

The app does not need the Camera permission or access to all your files: the scanner uses Google's document scanning module, and files are picked one by one with the phone's file picker.

6. Children

PDF Poche is not intended for children under 13.

7. Your rights

Since we hold no data about you, we can neither give you a copy of it nor delete it: everything the app stores is on your phone, under your control. For data processed by Google (ads, purchases), you can exercise your rights with Google: policies.google.com/privacy
